Here's Tim sharing from Revelation 21:1-6 and John 1:1-14 as we continued our Advent and Christmas series, 'He Shall Be Called', where we explored the names and nature of Jesus. Here's Tim sharing from Revelation 21:1-8 as we worshipped, prayed and marked Remembrance Day together. Here’s Tim speaking from Revelation 4 as we took a pause from our year in Acts and set aside one Sunday to simply celebrate. There were some beautiful conversations around the room as we shared what we love most about God, before Tim encouraged us with what happens when we choose to worship and say yes to the living God. He challenged us to boldly approach God’s throne, to a God who is sovereign, holy, faithful and good. How He is our safest place and our firm foundation. How the whole universe revolves around Him and how we need to reorientate our lives to do likewise. As we make Him our audience of one, our hearts, minds and lives get clear of all the other narratives and expectations that dominate. And as we welcome Christ, who stands at the door and knocks, He fills us, renew us, heals us, shapes us and changes us.
Join us to be ‘As One at 10’ on Sunday morning... to continue to keep that time set aside for God in prayer, worship and by opening His word - with the whole church family - but to do so at home with your household, or on your own, or wherever you happen to be.
Opening Prayer - Let's Pray Together:
Creator of the heavens, who led the Magi by a star to worship the Christ-child: guide and sustain us, that we may find our journey’s end in Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Lord’s Prayer - Let’s pray together:
Our Father in heaven, hallowed by Your name. Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread and forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For the Kingdom, the power and the glory are Yours, now and forever. Amen
Closing Prayer - We pray together (inspired by the words of Psalm 89):
We will sing of the Lord’s great love forever and make your faithfulness known through all generations. We will declare that your love stands firm forever, that you have established your faithfulness in heaven itself. Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne; love and faithfulness go before you. Help us walk in the light of your presence, Lord and rejoice in your name all day long; For you are our glory and strength and we belong to You, forevermore. Amen
