Why We Worship

We worship because God is worthy of our praise, and we long to see a culture of worship flourish among us—one where God is known more powerfully, palpably, and personally. Worship recentres our hearts, renews our hope, and becomes, by the Spirit, a beautiful act of service offered “in view of God’s mercy” (Romans 12:1).

As we gather, we want to be a creative and diverse community, learning from one another, building each other up, and giving voice to every generation and tongue. Whether we sing, pray, listen, create, or serve, we join with the whole church—past and present—in responding to God’s love and declaring His goodness.

Jam Nights &
Worship Nights...

‘Jam Nights’ are relaxed, drop-in sessions where anyone can come and enjoy worshipping through music in an informal, no-pressure environment. They’re a safe space to try something new, learn fresh worship songs, and explore whether joining the worship team might be a good fit for you. Everyone is welcome—whatever your level of experience.
We also host a city-wide worship night called
The Well, held at St Swithin’s every second Sunday at 6:30pm.
If you’d like to know more about either gathering, contact our worship pastor, Esthea: [email protected]

Share your creative gifts...

We believe creativity is a beautiful way to worship, and we love seeing the gifts within our church family come to life for the display of God’s splendour.

Whether through music, painting, art, sound and tech, craft, floristry, or any other artistic expression, there are many ways to get involved and offer your creativity in worship.

We’re grateful for the artists among us—like Jem Leigh-Wood (@jemstoreyart), who has created our Christmas 2025 artwork—and we delight in sharing and displaying the gifts God has placed in our community for His glory. If you’d like to explore using your creative gifts in worship, we’d love to hear from you.
