Church Weekend Away 2020

POSTPONED
Regretfully we have had to postpone the church weekend away until further notice. We will keep you posted as to when we know more. Details may be subject to change.
“My sheep hear my voice” (John 10:27) is the theme for our 2019 church weekend away.
We live in an age where there are so many loud voices we can listen to.  As Christians, how do we hear God’s voice and what difference does that make?
When the time comes we will be spending time together as a church family hopefully in the wonderful Sidmouth surroundings taking time to worship, to learn and enjoy spending time together. There will be something for all ages to enjoy including a full children’s programme.

The Hotel and Surrounding Area

Sidmouth is a beautiful regency seaside resort, a timeless peaceful destination situated on the edge of the Jurassic Coast, a world heritage site. Set in the Sid Valley and surrounded by two rolling hills with beautiful countryside all around, it is the ideal venue for us.
Sidholme Hotel is situated some ten minutes’ walk from the seafront, and is a beautiful 73 bedroom Georgian mansion set in 9 acres of landscaped gardens with an indoor heated swimming pool. Built in 1826 by the Earl of Buckingham for his wife, it is a beautiful Grade II listed building steeped in history.
The hotel can accommodate up to 140 guests and offers a range of single, double, twin and family rooms, most of which are en suite. They also have two disabled rooms and a limited number of ground floor rooms available.
Other facilities include a television room, Lounge, billiard room, patio and veranda, and heated indoor swimming pool.
The chefs offer a wide and varied choice of food and can cater for any special dietary requirements. Children and families are always made welcome too with cots and extra beds available on request. Ample car parking space is available.
