This Christmas we would love to be able to give Morrison’s vouchers to St Andrew’s School to share with some of their families who struggle over the Christmas period. If you feel able to donate towards this gift, please can you give directly into the St Swithin’s bank account making it clear where you would like your donation to go. If you do not have our bank details, please email the office. Alternatively, please bring a cheque/cash to the Church Office in an envelope labelled "Voucher Donations". Thank you! BANES council really need your help with an urgent situation to home an Afghan husband and wife. He speaks very good English, having taught the subject in Afghanistan, whereas she does not. They have both been through biometric testing and are eligible to work in the UK now. The council are looking for a one bed property, it needs to be a place that they can use a home for 12 months. with a kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and lounge. They are keen to have a garden if possible. It could be anywhere in BANES but ideally Bath. They are being supported for the next three years through the Connecting Families Team in BANES and the council will be paying the rent initially. They have to move out of their current accommodation by the 12th Oct 2021 so as you can imagine we are now desperately looking for a property for them!
