Regretfully we have had to postpone the church weekend away until further notice. We will keep you posted as to when we know more. When we get round to it we are hoping to spend some time together as a church family in the wonderful Sidmouth surroundings taking time to worship, to learn and enjoy spending time together. There will be something for all ages to enjoy including a full children’s programme. We live in an age where there are so many loud voices we can listen to. As Christians, how do we hear God’s voice and what difference does that make? Over this autumn we are journeying through the book of Exodus. It is an exciting and rich narrative with incredible highs and lows in which God leads his people from slavery into freedom. To get stuck into this book in the Bible, please choose from the resource list below the things that will help you and get the most out of this amazing story. Please join us on Sunday 13th September at 11.30am as we meet in the church building for our postponed APCM where we will reflect on the church’s ministry over the last year and look forward to the future. Numbers will be limited in order for us to maintain physical distancing so please email the church office office@stswithinswalcot.org.uk if you would like to book a place. We will provide a recording/ transcripts of the presentations for those unable to join us in person on the day. Don’t forget that we issued the booklet of reports in July. Do re-read this to remind yourself of all the things that took place in the church last year using the link below. "How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!" - Psalm 133 We have worked hard to ensure that anyone who would like to gather to worship can join us this Sunday. We are committed to contend to be a whole church family, united and diverse, As One at 10. To join us in person, you will need to reserve seats in advance by clicking the link below. With different services and age-specific groups, there is lots going on. So please ensure you book the right ticket(s) and read all the information. It is deeply saddening that we may not all be able to gather on Sundays, either because of current capacity restrictions or because of the wellbeing of individuals. If you are unable to come for whatever reason, please make use of our service online. Thank you to everyone who's been involved in helping us explore our vision. With everyone's help, we now want to sharpen the focus and look at the practical, hands on stuff. It would be hugely appreciated if you could fill in the questionnaire, by clicking the link below. Dear St Swithin's friends,
Good Morning and greetings in the life-giving name of Jesus Christ Stand firm, and you will win life. - Luke 21.19 |
