You are warmly invited to St Swithin's Newcomers' Tea at 4pm on Sunday 27th January at the Vicarage. A chance to get to know Tim, Jo and some members of the church family informally over coffee and cake. We want to make it really easy for you to get connected and to feel at home at St Swithin’s. Please RSVP by emailing office@stswithinswalcot.org.uk and we’ll send you the address. We can't wait to see you there!
Please continue to pray for the family and friends of Sue East and all those connected with St Andrew's School as they return for the new term. If you're able to help with the tea, please let the office know.

On Sunday Tim laid down the challenge to pray this prayer. It's a bold prayer to make at the start of 2019 or even to say every morning. There's no pressure to commit to this! It's totally up to you. I am no longer my own, but yours. Put me to what you will, rank me with whom you will; put me to doing, put me to suffering; let me be employed for you, or laid aside for you, exalted for you, or brought low for you; let me be full, let me be empty, let me have all things, let me have nothing: I freely and wholeheartedly yield all things to your pleasure and disposal. And now, glorious and blessed God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, you are mine and I am yours. So be it. And the covenant now made on earth, let it be ratified in heaven. Amen. (Prayer by John Wesley)
Join us for this Sunday at 10am as we start our year by focussing on Jesus. Our Sunday mornings in 2019 are set aside to journey through Luke’s Gospel, looking at who Jesus is and exploring what He did and said. There is no evening service this week.
I’m Fran. I live in Saltford with my husband, Adrian and our dog Barney! We have two children, Becca (21) who is currently in her final year at Worcester University and studying Criminology and Tom (18) who is finishing his first term at Guildford School of Acting where he is studying Theatre Production. We are officially ‘empty-nesters’ and it’s taking some getting used to!
