Join us on Christmas Day for an All Age celebration with communion at 10am.
"It came upon the midnight clear,
That glorious song of old,
From angels bending
near the earth,
To touch their harps of gold:
"Peace on the earth,
goodwill to men
From heavens all gracious King!”
The world in solemn stillness lay
To hear the angels sing."
Join us tonight at 11pm and enter into Christmas day remembering that Christ came to bring peace.
Christmas Eve Nativity
24th December | 4pm
Join us for a fun-fun-filled nativity service on Christmas Eve. Why not come dressed as a shepherd, angel, wise man…
Carols by Candlelight
Sunday 16th December | 6:30pm
One of our Christmas time highlights.
Join us for much-loved carols, mulled wine and mince pies.
There will be Signed Christmas Carols with interpreters followed by hot drinks and mince pies at Widcombe Baptist Church on Sunday 2nd December at 6:30pm. All welcome.
Our 'Kingdom of God' Sunday series is almost finished, but you can catch up on the full playlist of talks right here or by subscribing to our podcast.
Come join us as we gather to attend to God's presence on at 6:30pm at church on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month.
There will be a mixture of ways to hear God, worship and share with one another... stripped back music, simple choruses, reflections, poetry, art, words, pictures, testimonies, small groups and prayer ministry.
We will meet up at the Marlborough Tavern at 7:30pm on the other Sundays of the month to hang out, meet new people and build friendships.
Our quiet evening communion service will continue on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month at church at 6:30pm.
We're meeting at a slightly different time this Sunday as many of us will be going to celebrate with our friend Esther Smith as she begins her new role as Rector of Chilcompton with Downside and Stratton-on-the-Fosse Benefice.
There will be no morning service or evening service at St Swithins. We will meet for an all age service at 4pm instead.
We look forward to welcoming regulars and visitors to our Sunday services throughout the Summer
Please take note that Sundays 5th and 19th of August will be All Age Services where 0 to 100 year olds (and beyond!) will be very welcome.
There will be no separate groups on these weeks but children will be very welcome and encouraged to take part in the whole service.
